Basic carrot & apple juice with lots of health benefits
Why drink carrot & apple juice? It is very basic, which means not a lot of ingredients. It is ingredients you normally have in your home. It is a very tasty juice. I do not always enjoy carrots on their own but mixed with apples, it is a perfect tasty and refreshing juice. Mixing it with a little bit of ginger gives it a little bit of zzing. I do not know if that is a word, but it gives a bit of spice and freshness. And the basic carrot & apple juice has lots of health benefits. Carrot contains lots of vitamins. The famous carotene , which is an anti oxidant and anti oxidants provides protection against a lot of age related diseases. Apples also has a lot of nutrients. For one, eating one medium sized apple will provide you with 15 % of the daily recommended dosage of vitamin C. Vitamin C as you know is very good for your immune system.
What do you do?
Ingredients (makes 1 12 oz serving)
- 2 apples (cleaned)
- 3 carrots (cleaned)
- 1/2 ” of ginger
Clean the apples and carrots. By clean I mean rinse them and peel them if necessary (Peel of not organic). Juice the ginger first, then carrot and last the apples. And enjoy a refreshing glass of apple, carrot & ginger juice. I have added the ginger here, but it is up to you if you want to include. If you do not care for ginger, the carrot and apple juice alone is just as perfect. I personally switch between adding the ginger and on other days not including it. Depending on what I feel like that day.
