Morning power with a spinach & strawberry smoothie
Morning power with a spinach & strawberry smoothie. Fresh and tasty and full of all the benefits you get from spinach. Fiber, antioxidants, potassium, vitamin C and the list goes on. Spinach really is a super food. Strawberries are also full of nutrients. And this version I find is very filling. I eat my oatmeal porridge and drink this power smoothie and I feel full for 4 hours, but a nice full. The kind of full where you do not feel heavy. Enjoy your morning with this morning power smoothie as I call it.
What do you do
Ingredients (Makes 2 x 12 oz servings)
- 1 banana
- 3/4 frozen spinach
- 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 12 oz vanilla soy milk (can be substituted with reg. milk, unsweetened soy milk, almond milk etc., really your preference)
- 2 pitted dates
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth 1-2 minutes. Remember if you substitute with an unsweetened version of a “milk” you remove some of the sweetness but you avoid the sugar.
