Simple & tasty fruit smoothie
Simple & tasty fruit smoothie that the kids always love. I think this must be one of the original smoothies. There is no better flavor than strawberries and bananas together. The freshly squeezed apple juice has a pretty neutral flavor but add some sweetness. And I add the orange juice to give it a bit of a tang. But just a bit. I have bought smoothies, where there is so much orange juice in it, that my kids do not like it.
Here is what you do.
Ingredients (makes 2 x 10-12 oz servings)
- 1 banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 3 apples (cleaned and juiced)
- 1 orange (peeled and juiced)
Add the banana and frozen strawberries to the blender. Clean, peel and juice first the orange then the apples. Add the juice to the blender and blend until smooth (approx. 1-2 minutes).
